Southern Rhythms” (thru March 8th) features a Selection of African-American Artists from the Southern Regions of the United States who, in isolation from each other, developed art-making practices uniquely their own, in the context of their specific cultures, traditions, and lives. The artwork in this exhibition reveals powerful creative visions that exist outside the mainstream art establishment. Please join us on “Second Sunday” March 8, 2009 at the closing reception for “Southern Rhythms” catered by Barbara Harris from 3-5 p.m. in the gallery.
